PeertoPlay
When I was first contracted by Trisha Debdas Srivastava to manage social media for PeertoPlay, a promising startup designed to help parents curate and plan playdates for their children, my task was straightforward: establish a strong, cohesive presence on Facebook and Instagram. At the time, the app was still in its early stages, and my goal was to craft a distinct brand identity, engage the audience with valuable content, and build meaningful connections within the parenting community.
Step 1: Crafting a Strong Brand Identity
Working with the creator’s chosen colors and fonts, I developed a polished, visually cohesive social media presence aligned with PeertoPlay’s mission. Consistency in branding was essential; it instantly allowed parents to recognize PeertoPlay across multiple platforms.
Step 2: Enhancing Website Cohesion
To ensure a seamless experience, I updated PeertoPlay’s website to reflect the newly developed social media identity. Every touchpoint, including design, messaging, and tone, was carefully aligned, creating an intuitive user experience whether visitors were browsing the website or engaging with PeertoPlay’s social content.
Step 3: Designing a Comprehensive Social Media Strategy
I developed a targeted social media strategy for app promotion and meaningful community engagement. To achieve this, I introduced four key content pillars:
Playdate Ideas & Activities – Inspiring parents with fun, creative ways to make playdates memorable.
Parenting Tips & Insights – Offering expert advice on fostering social growth in children.
App Features & Benefits – Showcasing what makes PeertoPlay unique and why parents should use it.
Community Engagement – Encouraging parents to share their experiences and connect.
By maintaining a balanced content mix, PeertoPlay’s social media presence became a resource and a community hub for parents.
Step 4: Refining Brand Messaging for Impact
A crucial aspect of my role was refining PeertoPlay’s brand messaging to ensure it resonated deeply with parents. By honing the app’s voice, I helped communicate PeertoPlay’s mission clearly: to simplify playdate planning and foster meaningful social interactions for children. This messaging positioned PeertoPlay as more than just an app but an essential tool for parents navigating their child’s social journey.
Step 5: Expanding Reach Through Paid Ads & Influencer Collaborations
With a strong organic foundation, the next step is scaling PeertoPlay’s presence through targeted Meta ads (Facebook and Instagram) and strategic partnerships with parenting influencers. These efforts will amplify PeertoPlay’s visibility, benefiting even more families.
The Takeaway
Through strategic planning, branding, and content development, we’ve set PeertoPlay up for long-term success. The journey doesn’t end here—with paid ads and influencer collaborations, we’re ready to expand the app’s reach and welcome more families into the PeertoPlay community.
I’m excited to continue supporting PeertoPlay as it grows, helping parents provide their children with rich, meaningful social experiences.
